● Advanced Freeform Surfacing ● Marine Design ● Automotive Design ● Product Design
We have the ability to create organic shapes from conceptual design ideas into CAD models. Using our advanced software we can create the most complex freeform shapes quickly, efficiently and with the flexibility to be changed if needed. This includes the creation of “Class A” surfaces which deliver smoothness, visual appeal and adaptability. So whether it’s an automotive, marine or product design project our freeform surfacing can assist you with cost effective shape design to suit whatever your requirements may be.

Design Services

● Reverse Engineering
Do you already have a product or design that needs a CAD model? Triple D Design reverse engineering capabilities allow us to quickly create CAD models from existing objects. Our software can directly import the appropriate data acquired by scanning and we can evaluate and prepare the data for faster modelling. Using a range of advanced techniques and features within the software this data is then used to create three-dimensional surfaces and solids into a water tight CAD model. This may be a quick prototype or a “Class A” surfaced model where visual appeal is of high priority.

● Structural Design
We have to ability to create structural CAD models and assemblies for a vast range of applications using the required standards and materials. These CAD designs can then be used to create fully detailed drawings and layouts along with itemized lists and Bills of Materials to aid fabrication and purchasing of materials.

● Engineering & Mechanical Design
As well as freeform surface design we also offer traditional design techniques to produce engineering and mechanical components. This may be single parts or large complex assemblies where components need to interact with each other or other assemblies. Parts can be designed to the required standard which includes the appropriate mating interferences and tolerances.

● Sheet Metal Design
Triple D Design can effectively create sheet metal parts based on material properties and manufacturing processes. Our software can represent a model as a formed component and a flattened blank shape which means that we can work with models at any stage of the fabrication process. Our software creates accurate flat patterns which can be exported straight to a file ready for laser or plasma cutting.
